• It’s a social club for Asians with focus on Chinese who are living predominantly in Victoria, and open to Asians of other states in Australia.
• Both of our founding members are Chinese.
• We can confidently claim that amongst the Chinese in Australia, Teresa is one of the few leading authorities in horse racing. She is one of the only few Chinese who is actively involved in the industry at multiple levels for a considerable time with enviable records of successes in the industry. Teresa has intimate knowledge of how the industry works and what the Asian community wants in lifestyle. It is reasonable for us to suggest that we have what it takes to connect and engage the Asian community for the betterment of this great sport in horse racing.
• Derek is a successful lawyer/entrepreneur in his own right, has an established track record in servicing Chinese business people and keeps a high profile in the Chinese media and community. He has been involved in organising hundreds of events from charity dinners to major events with 80,000 people. He sat on the board of an ASX listed company (2014) and is currently the legal advisor for more than 30 non-profit organisations. He is now serving as the Honourable President of the Lions of Sino Innovation Melbourne Inc.
• We are not syndicators, we aim to create a force in the industry and be a passionate advocate of our interest. We plan to provide our members with “quality” services that our members are accustomed to and come to expect from our Club.

Membership Benefits 2025-26

Membership In ACJC Melbourne (2025) "Club Horse", benefit explained:

• Of the $380 annual fee, $80 is put towards the purchase & upkeep of a (minor) share in a horse. ACJC Melbourne will be responsible for any excess upkeep cost throughout the racing career of this “Club Horse”

• Members will receive regular updates from trainer and financial reports on income & expenditure

• Current ACJC Racing Interest Group owners and Racing 101 members can be part of this “Club Horse” at an extra payment of $80 (on top of their respective membership fees).

• At the end of the horse’s racing career, any surplus/profit (less all excess upkeep costs paid by ACJC Melbourne) from racing this horse will be equally shared by the members or retained at the ACJC Melbourne towards members events or other members benefits.

Million Dollar Club

The ACJC Million Dollar Club is an initiative started four years ago aiming to introduce our members to the joy and thrill of owning and racing horses together.  The concept is to pool together our resources and  buy shares in a few racehorses every year.  So far, members of our Million Dollar groups have certainly enjoyed meeting a lot of new friends within the Club and with many other owners in the horses we race, more importantly, we’ve tasted reasonably thrills and success on track.

Knights Order is one from our first Million Dollar Club formed in 2020, he has now won the 2021 Brisbane Cup, 2022 Sydney Cup, 3rd in the 2022 Caulfield Cup & 3rd in the 2023 Sydney Cup, contested in the 2021 and 2022 Melbourne Cup, above all, amassed more than $2.5 million in prize money, certainly befits our Million Dollar Club title. It appears White Marlin, in our 2022 Million Dollar Club, Special Envoy in our 2023 group are heading towards the Million Dollar pathway.  Two very promising horses in the 2023/24 group worth following are New Endeavour and Cuban Dawn bought at Newmarket in June by Gai & Adrian are heading our way destined for a successful career.

All The Million Dollar Clubs are managed for participating owners at no fee, every dollar in the pool is invested in the purchase of the horses.
